The hardware gap
Jellyfish RGBIC-RD runs roughly 10-15% more expensive at the manufacturer-to-dealer level than equivalent Trimlight. Higher pixel density, slightly newer chip generation.
At your end, that translates to roughly $200-$400 more on a Standard install — assuming both installers use comparable labor rates.
The labor gap
Bigger variance comes from the installer, not the brand. A reputable W-2 crew runs $400-$600 more than a subcontracted crew on the same install. We use W-2 employees only.
The warranty gap
Jellyfish warranty: lifetime track / 5-year LED. Trimlight: lifetime track / 3-year LED. Two extra years on the LEDs is roughly $300 of value over the system's lifetime.
